Rubinstein, Helena
(1871-1965)
   American cosmetics manufacturer. Born in Poland, she went to Australia at the age of 20 and began marketing cold cream. Later she went to London where she opened her own beauty salon. In 1914 she went to the US. Her innovations included a waterproof mascara, medicated face cream, and the selling technique of home demonstration.
